New 4 week Pregnancy Yoga & Relaxation Course starts on Monday 5th January
Watch this space for updates on new courses, or sign up to my newsletter so you don’t miss out! Spaces go really fast!
It says sold out – what do I do? My classes book up fast but don’t worry, a space usually comes up soon. Please email me (peainthepodhypnobirthing@outlook.com) or find me on Facebook/Instagram and send me a message to be added to the waiting list. (As you can imagine, people leave all the time to have babies! So you won’t have too wait long!)
Is pregnancy yoga suitable for me?
Please check with your midwife that pregnancy yoga is suitable for you. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for women who have pre-eclampsia, placenta previa (full or partial), or if you have experienced bleeding during your pregnancy.
When can I start Pregnancy Yoga & Relaxation?
You can start coming to class anytime after your first trimester (from 12 weeks onwards) and can carry on right up until the end of your pregnancy.
Are you considering this as well as one of my hypnobirthing courses? Great idea! Pregnancy Yoga & Relaxation and Hypnobirthing complement each other perfectly, both offering different benefits to pregnant women. If doesn’t matter which you start first. My Pregnancy Yoga & Relaxation classes work well taken before, during or after a hypnobirthing course. Or, you can take the classes on their own.
How does Yoga help during pregnancy and birth?
Yoga has many benefits during pregnancy, and can even be used in birth!
- Helps you exercise safely
- Exercise that energises rather than tires you out
- Helps you understand how your body is changing and how to embrace this
- Builds your confidence in your body
- Strengthens your pelvic floor muscles
- Teaches you some great birth positions!
How does relaxation help birth?
A relaxed mum produces OXYTOCIN, which:
- Starts labour
- Keeps labour going
- Reduces pain
- Helps mum and baby bond
Oxytocin really is a birthing mama’s best friend, but it is really easily scared away! Learning the art of relaxing, and being able to do it even when you’re not in a very relaxing situation (like, a car journey whilst in labour!) can really help labour to progress well and be more comfortable. We’ll do a deep relaxation every week. Aside from this being useful for birth, it’s absolute bliss!
Join me for Pregnancy Yoga & Relaxation Classes; I’d love to meet you and help you to feel calm and confident about giving birth.

I have completed my 85 hour Pregnancy Yoga Teacher course and am certified to teach pregnancy yoga and post-natal yoga classes.
Watch this space for baby & me classes, coming later this year!
