Group Hypnobirthing Course

Bear with me while I shake things up a bit!
Feedback from my clients tells me that what I’m teaching them is good – they love it!
But – I know I’m not an option to everyone! So many people are telling me they can’t make it, they have commitments, they work weekends, they have other kids… I get it! And I’m sorting it!
I’m launching a new format that will help make my courses more accessible, and even more impactful than before!
Sign up to my newsletter to be the first to know when booking opens! Also, you’ll get birth tips and helpful info straight to your inbox!
What’s changing?
- More impact – with my new format I aim to get even more of the essential hypnobirthing knowledge to you as soon as you book. I’ve always provided the relaxation MP3s and a few other ideas, but it’s bothered me that people book in advance and then potentially wait and miss opportunities to get as prepared as possible for birth! This new format changes that and means you get access to some far more of the course straight away, through online videos and audios! And the sooner you get started, the bigger the impact on your birth!
- More accessible – I’m moving to a one day format so that it’s easier for you to find a babysitter/ book a day off/ not be away doing something fabulous! I’m also going to host these days more regularly, so that (depending on how far along they are!) you will have a few options to choose from.
- Same essential content – I’m not cutting anything out because I know how important it is!
- Even better support – This is not an online hypnobirthing course and I don’t want it to feel like one! After you book, I’ll get in touch and introduce myself so that you have my number and feel like you’ve got that ‘birth bestie’ in your pocket, for all those questions you are tempted to Google! I’ll also be getting online regularly and holding ‘cuppa & catch ups’ live, where anyone who’s booked one of my courses can come on and ask questions, share issues, or simply connect with other pregnant mamas to be!
What you’ll learn:
- What your body is doing during labour and birth, and how it might feel: From the first twinge to the part when you’re holding your baby, and the bit after that (yep, there’s a bit after that!) I’ll teach you the science behind birth, including what’s actually happening when you have a contraction and the role that hormones play in birth.
- Pain relief: We will have an honest conversation about pain! How painful is labour? Why do we feel pain? What can we do about it? I give you practical tools and techniques to help reduce and manage pain, and we discuss the pros and cons of your medical pain relief options (drugs!). Whether you’d like to go drug-free, or gain some helpful tools for before you can access the drugs, or even if you’re not sure what you want, hypnobirthing will help.
- The role of the birth partner: Birth partners are equipped with practical and powerful techniques to help you feel more comfortable and help you cope with the mental and physical demands of labour. I’ll also help them to understand and embrace their integral role as your advocate during the birth.
- How to make decisions during pregnancy and birth: This includes information about how to navigate the maternity system and build really positive relationships with your caregivers. We’ll cover topics such as pain relief, induction, caesarean, choosing where to give birth and much more. If you and your birth partner like the idea of feeling ‘in control’ but also worry about ‘being difficult’ then I’ve got you! You can definitely choose to do things in your way and get on well with your midwife. I’ll show you how.
- Expecting the unexpected: We’ll discuss unplanned caesareans and how these can be extremely positive birth experiences with the right planning and mindset. As well as covering some key topics in detail, you’ll get the tools you need to make rational decisions, whatever comes your way. Hypnobirthing will both reduce your chances of needing an unplanned caesarean, and help you to have a positive experience if it is the best option for you.
- How to plan your positive birth: I’ll show you how to use the knowledge and skills gained on this course to create a birth plan that covers a range of scenarios so that you feel calm, confident and in control of your birth, whether it turns out exactly as you imagined or completely different.
- The baby’s here – what now? The ‘fourth’ stage of labour and caring for your baby in the first few hours.
You’ll receive a Hypnobirthing book and relaxation audio files, which are an essential part of your relaxation practice.
Why opt for the group course?
- Meet your parenting tribe! Parenting is an amazing but sometimes lonely job. Stay in touch and support each other through this fantastically weird and wonderful time!
- Hearing other people’s experiences, ideas and perspectives can broaden your understanding of a topic. Also, people will ask questions that you hadn’t thought to ask, but are then really pleased to hear the answer to!
- Group courses are great value for money. Save your pennies for parental-leave cake and coffee (that’s definitely what happens on parental leave, every day, for sure!)
Investment: £220.
